To Err Is Human

Umpire Jim Joyce proved that last night when his bad call cost Detroit pitcher Armando Garralaga a perfect game.

But the real story is the fact that Garralaga had the grace and class to forgive Joyce despite what had to be a huge disappointment. Meanwhile, Joyce showed class by accepting the blame for his mistake.

As one person said "it gave the world a chance to see how adults are supposed to act".

One of the few people in this entire country that still believes it was a one hitter is that idiot commissioner Bud Selig. He had a chance to do a wonderful thing and reverse that bogus call but his brain must have been fried by steroid fumes from his other player dealings. It is a 28 out perfect game in my book. GM even gave the kid a Corvette in honor of the game. The Umpire and the player both came out as winners in this sad story. The only losers are that ogre Selig and baseball fans(of which I am not one). Maybe someday a new commissioner with a heart will do what Selig refuses to do. At least Selig now has something in common with the Buffalo Sabres as they are a team that needs a heart transplant too.
